Cancer Vaccine In The Works
Will the day soon come when along with smallpox and diphtheria and a host of horrible others, we can also vaccinate our children (and ourselves) against cancer? One can only suppose this boggles the mind in the same manner as vaccine for polio and a cure for yellow fever did in their own historical time and place.Researchers from both Great Britain and the United States conducted this important study in which experimental vaccines performed on mice with prostate cancer shrunk tumors. The results suggest the possibility of further development into a cancer treatment program for humans. Although the vaccine may still be a few years away as research has only been done on mice, this study has planted more than one seed of hope that maybe one day the world can protect itself against this terrible dreaded disease.
Here’s to the dream of a brighter tomorrow and a world with no cancer ever again!
